Programs for High School Students
Our high school programs provide opportunities for youth to take charge of important community initiatives with the help of mentors and community leaders. We also have many programs which focus on providing spaces for youth to spend their time in constructive and beneficial ways.
The CASIM Program
Where: Centre for Excellence (will differ based on activities)
When: Weekly meetings and planning, mentors and mentees will plan their own based on their own schedules/conveniences
Why: To bring more people into Islam, spread good, factual information about Islam to clear misconceptions, ease the journey for new Muslims, follow through with the responsibility to practice da'wah.
High School Murabi Program
Who: For Youth 15 +
Where: In most High Schools in the City of Calgary area
What: Our High School Murabi program is a youth leadership body pared with one on one mentor-ship.
Who: For youth aged 15+
Where: Camp-site located in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Youth will have separate dorms.
When: August 25-28, Thursday - Sunday
What: A four day camp aimed at developing confidence, leadership skills and teamwork skills while building lasting relationships. Camp deenStrong integrates physical activities & games with Islamic knowledge, which encourages camp goers to develop and embrace their Canadian-Muslim identities. Camp deenStrong empowers Muslim youth and provides them with an enjoyable environment allowing them to soak up the last days of summer, while preparing them for the new year so they can be ahead of the curve.
